The name for Lady's Hat Farm was inspired by a hill on a piece of land owned by my dad. The two spruce trees growing from its side are reminiscent of the feather's sprouting from the side of a fancy hat. The Lady's Hat is the spiritual centre of the farm, and of my family.
Together, my father and I have worked to incorporate my dream into his—a 40-plus year beef operation in the heart of the Alberta prairies. Lady’s Hat Farm is an extension of MW Ranching, and everything we do we do in a way that respects and honours the legacy my father has built. From bees, to pigs, to market vegetables, Lady’s Hat Farm follows agro-ecological practices to use what the land offers, giving to the soil as much as it gives to us.
If you have any questions about what we do, and how we do it, or if you’d like to visit the farm, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We love having guests!
